Treatment for acne scars with Generic Azelex

What are acne scars?

One of the most painful things about acne is the ugly scar they live behind. A reminder of the pains and embarrassment they must have caused previously. Most teenage and young adults worry more about the scars left behind than the pimples themselves. As we all know acne scars are as a result of lesions (pimples) that had not healed, were opened up prematurely or had become inflamed. There are quite a number of genetic factors, which influence the size, frequency and type of scars and vary for different people. If you tend to see more scars on your skin it may be due to your particular skin color and your biological history. Every acne sufferer knows that squeezing or picking open pimples would results in acne scars, but still the temptation to "pop" a fresh pimple is always available to you anytime you look at the mirror. You should avoid squeezing and picking your pimples because as you already know by now it only increases the number of "spots" on your face and leaves an unpleasantly looking skin behind. Therefore using a cream for topical treatment of acne is important to prevent further complications like acne scar formation.

Stages of acne scar

You should identify the different stages of the acne scars to start the correct treatment for acne scars. In its early situation, acne develops after the acne lesion gets healed. What gets left on your skin can be seen as a red hyper-pigmented mark. It is not a scar by now. As your skin goes through healing, the redness can be seen for about six to twelve months. In its next stage, after one year there are chances of color change or defect in your skin. This is considered as an everlasting scar. There are two types of acne scars, ice pick and keloid. Ice pick scars are the acne scars the turn into a depressed area and keloid scars become thickened tissue which raises up. Ice pick scars are caused by loss of tissue in the area and keloid scars are caused by increased tissue in the area. The icepick acne scars are quite narrow and sharp scars. They can make your skin look as if it has been punctured at all places. These scars are quite difficult to be corrected through the skin resurfacing treatments. The boxcar scars range from round to oval dents with sharp and vertical edges. They can be treated with traditional skin resurfacing techniques. The other type, rolling acne scars occurs due to the tethering of normal skin to the subcutaneous tissue. This process gives the skin a rolling or undulating appearance. The conventional skin treatment techniques do not seem to work in this case. Acne scar removal is not easy but not impossible too.

Acne scars not only looks bad but lowers your confidence and self esteem too. Thus it becomes really important to discard them.
